sharing our adventures

The Project

small ship, big dreams

We chose to renovate and live on a boat to reconnect with what truly matters. To feel the wind, listen to the sea, embrace the unexpected, and slow down.

On board, every resource counts. Comfort isn’t measured by how many things we own, but by the quality of the experiences we live. A consciously chosen simplicity that offers something precious: freedom.

On a sailboat, the journey counts as much as the destination — it even gives it a whole new flavour. Discovering new horizons, other cultures. Dreaming big, daring to step into the unknown, and turning our dreams into reality, one mile at a time.

Travelling also means learning. Fixing things, improvising, finding solutions, understanding our boat. Making do with what we have. And sharing what we learn along the way.

Because this journey wouldn’t taste the same without the people who matter to us, we share here our adventures, our joys, our struggles and our discoveries. Keeping the connection alive, creating new ones, and bringing you along with us into this new life — that’s what drives us.

The boat is small, but the horizon is vast. That’s where our journey begins.

So Fabbulus: why that name?

So Fabbulus est le mélange de nos deux noms
Let’s get to know each other

The crew

Romain

"Captain Romulus"

Fascinated by the stories of Moitessier, and inspired by encounters with passionate sailors — from casual cruisers to seasoned offshore racers — the sea quickly captured his heart. He lived aboard the sailboat for a while in the Calanques of Cassis before bringing her back to Brittany to begin major refit work.

Sophie

"Captain SoFab"

Originally from Auvergne, she wasn’t exactly destined for a life at sea. But the freedom and sense of adventure that sailing evokes sparked something in her — and made her take the leap. The daughter and granddaughter of carpenters and cabinetmakers, she loves working with her hands — when she’s not training on a dinghy or attending courses at Les Glénans.

And then there’s the rest of the crew — all the people who are involved in the project in one way or another: those who help us in the boatyard, who advise us, equip us, and support us…
